Eight Northshore students participate in 2015-16 Washington Aerospace Scholars program

Eight Inglemoor High School students are among 173 high school juniors taking part in Phase One of the 2015-16 Washington Aerospace Scholars (WAS) program: Preston Duffield, Apurva Gavali, Athil George, Seong Hong, Frederick Huyan, Grace Kim, Jake Millman and Jason Zhu.

Eight Inglemoor High School students are among 173 high school juniors taking part in Phase One of the 2015-16 Washington Aerospace Scholars (WAS) program: Preston Duffield, Apurva Gavali, Athil George, Seong Hong, Frederick Huyan, Grace Kim, Jake Millman and Jason Zhu.

WAS is a two-part program focused on topics related to the history and future exploration of space by NASA and topics in Earth and Space Science. Phase One is a five-month distance-learning course designed in partnership with NASA and the University of Washington, which provides students the opportunity to earn five college credits. Phase two is a six-day residency experience based at The Museum of Flight in Seattle in which students plan a human mission to Mars.
