Published 10:17 am Wednesday, April 3, 2013

The Department of Ecology (Ecology) invites the public to a community open house on progress to date under an agreed order with the City of Bothell for an investigation and clean up groundwater contamination at a property acquired by the city for its municipal campus expansion project.

The quarter-acre parcel, the former Ultra Custom Care Cleaners, purchased by the city in 2012, is located at 18304 Bothell Way, N.E.

The open house will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., on April 8 at Lytle House, 9929 N.E. 180th Street, Bothell. Ecology and the city will provide information displays with staff available to answer questions about the site’s investigation and cleanup. There is no set presentation.

Information also will be available on the city’s cleanup efforts — also overseen by Ecology under agreed orders with the city — at properties acquired for other downtown Bothell redevelopment projects.

An Ecology public notice on the open house is available online.
