Garden of delight: Bothell’s Karen Stefonick Design wins Founder’s Cup at Seattle show

“A Wrinkle in Time — Gardens Not Yet Discovered” has, in fact, found the spotlight at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
In pre-show judging, Bothell’s Karen Stefonick Design and Snohomish’s B. Bissell General Contractor LLC won the Founder’s Cup — designating Best in Show — for the precedent-setting second consecutive year for their display garden.
“A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle served as an inspiration for the garden. The focal point is a “crystal ball” that appears to float in the center of a reflecting pond.
Twenty-four display gardens are spotlighted at the show, which runs through Sunday.
