Ivar’s opens doors to new Bothell restaurant

Ivar’s “o-fish-ially” opened its doors at Bothell’s Lakeside at Canyon Park Shopping Center on Sept. 13. Originally located near Bothell Landing, Ivar’s closed its former quick-service location in the city three years ago, and has now relocated its Bothell restaurant to 24016 Bothell-Everett Highway. Ivar’s will be celebrating the opening of the completely new store, with enhanced interiors and new menu items, with an enter-to-win contest to mark Ivar’s 24th Seafood Bar location. Now through Oct. 27, customers who visit the new Bothell location will have a chance to win an iPad, Coca Cola-branded bicycle, Amazon gift cards and Seattle Aquarium tickets.

“Our original Seafood Bar in Bothell served the community for more than 30 years and closed its doors in 2009 amid the city’s downtown revitalization plans,” said Dave Fechter, director of operations for Ivar’s Seafood Bars. “The Ivar’s customer base in Bothell has always been very supportive of us, and we are excited to be back. We hope to see a lot of the community join us to enjoy the opening celebration.”

The new 2,020 square-foot Seafood Bar features seating for 94 guests, including spots in comfortable booths, at custom tables and chairs carved with the famous Ivar’s “Keep Clam” slogan and outdoor tables complete with umbrellas. In addition, the location features a soup display with an array of Ivar’s world-famous chowders and soups, along with a fresh station offering hand-tossed salads and made-to-order sandwiches. The classic menu items, such as Ivar’s Fish ‘n Chips and Grilled Platters, are joined by new entrees and sides, including the Grilled Salmon BLT, Crab Cake Sandwich, Grilled Fish Tacos, Panko-Breaded Fish n’ Chips, Mac n’ Cheese, Toasted Cheese Sandwiches and Fried Mushrooms. The popular Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain allows customers to choose from more than 125 regular and low-calorie brands – including varieties of sodas, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling waters.

Ivar’s is open daily for lunch and dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
