Sept. 8

Check issues: A suspect cashed a check for $1,672 that had been written in error. Local police referred the case to another department because of the jurisdiction of where the incident occurred.

Sept. 5

Theft: Police arrested a suspect who allegedly stole a wind chime, electric razor and fishing gear from a large chain store located along State Route 527. The stolen items had a combined value of $480.

Hit and run: An unknown vehicle towing a 15- to 20-foot trailer struck a 1989 Toyota Corolla. There were no injuries reported in the incident.

Sept. 4

Residential burglary: A burglary took place at a residence along 32nd Drive Southeast. The suspect gained access to the home by way of an open bedroom window, according to police reports, and stole a computer monitor valued at $380.

Asleep and drunk at the wheel: Police contacted a driver who reportedly demonstrated erratic driving and then passed out at a stop light. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. along Northeast 175th Street. A witness reported the incident after following the suspect, whom police found to be driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

Sept. 6

Overdose: Police and medical units responded to reports of an unresponsive person who had allegedly overdosed on heroin.

Assault: Police booked a man into King County Jail after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend of five months at the Wagon Wheel motel during an argument. The suspect and the victim had both consumed alcohol earlier in the day, according to the police report.
