Theft from vehicle

Police say a navigation system, CDs, a handicapped parking placard and personal items were among the goods stolen from a car parked in a driveway on 223rd Street Southeast. The value of the items was given as $950. Police say it is unclear how the perpetrator gained access to the car.

Dec. 13

Theft from vehicle

A purse containing various personal items was taken after someone smashed out the window of a car parked in a lot in the 11000 block of Northeast 195th Street. The value of the items wasn’t given in reports.

Dec. 11

Residential burglary

Thieves hit an ill-gotten jackpot after breaking into a home in the 22000 block of Sixth Place West. They left with jewelry, cash, a video game system and CDs. Total value was given as $11,000. Reports said it wasn’t clear how the perpetrators gained access to the home and there was no mention of any suspects.

Car theft

A 1990 Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 21300 block of State Route 527. The car later was recovered by Bothell police at an unspecified location. The vehicle was missing its hood and front bumper.

Assault

Reports give very few details and there were no arrests. Still, officers responded to what apparently became a physical altercation between two nursing-home residents, both females, ages 87 and 80. The women were described as roommates. Police said neither suffered any injuries and listed the cause of the dispute as unknown.

Accidental shooting

Police responded to a call regarding what was termed the accidental shooting of a man by his friend in the bathroom of a home in the 15100 block of 64th Court Northeast. Reports weren’t clear as to who lived in the home, but said three people found a rifle near a bed in the residence. The pair involved in the shooting ended up in the home’s bathroom talking about the rifle and told police they believed it to be an air rifle. One of the men allegedly pulled the trigger, shooting his friend in the leg. Police said the bullet passed through the man’s right leg near his knee and ended up in his left leg. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Reports said the incident is still under investigation with regard possible charges.

Theft from vehicle

Police reports didn’t mention any signs of forced entry, but said someone made off with some personal items and a raincoat, total value about $140, after breaking into a car parked in the 14500 block of 89th Place Northeast. The car was parked on the street.

Dec. 14

Larceny

Police reports didn’t contain many readily available details, but said jewelry and other items were stolen from a home in the 20200 block of 62nd Avenue Northeast. The residents were in the process of moving at the time of the theft.

Dec. 13

Attempted theft

A resident in the 8000 block of Northeast 151st Court noticed the doors and hood were inexplicably open on his car. Still, nothing was reported missing from the vehicle, which was parked on the street in front of the owner’s home.

Assault

A man, 56, was charged with fourth-degree assault after he allegedly hit and shoved a woman, 32, in what police identified only as a “meeting hall” on East Riverside Drive. The pair did not know each other and public records gave no reason for any dispute between them.
