University of Washington, Bothell to hold 20th-anniversary events

The University of Washington, Bothell, is celebrating 20 years with a series of events open to the public. All are invited to join the celebration.

On April 30, the Chancellor’s Dinner and Reception will be held at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville.

This annual event honors UW-Bothell supporters and friends. This year’s special honorees are Doug and Barbara Allen for their generous philanthropic support of the UW-Bothell Business Program. A reception and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. Tickets are $80 each or $750 for a table of 10.

The 5th Annual UW-Bothell 5K Run-Walk to benefit the UW-Bothell Alumni Council Scholarship Fund will take place on campus May 15. The first start is at 9 a.m.

The featured event, the 20th Year Celebration, is from noon to 4 p.m. May 15 following the 5K Run/Walk. A formal program will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. The marking of this milestone will feature music, tours, food, children’s activities, networking and career development, educational sessions, historical information to celebrate the 20th anniversary and more.
