King County Executive Dow Constantine statement on Supreme Court decision

I am pleased that today's U.S. Supreme Court decision preserves health insurance for millions of Americans who otherwise couldn't afford it. Healthcare rights are human rights.

King County Executive Dow Constantine offered this statement after the U.S. Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in King v. Burwell, upholding the Affordable Care Act:

“I am pleased that today’s U.S. Supreme Court decision preserves health insurance for millions of Americans who otherwise couldn’t afford it. Healthcare rights are human rights.

“I’m proud that King County continues to lead the way, creating a network of community partners that has helped more than 200,000 King County residents get affordable healthcare. Let’s hope that Congress and the rest of the country learn from our success.”
