The Cougars trailed 0-2, but won the next two sets 25-23, 25-12 before falling 15-9 in the fifth set.

Bothell senior Alexa Torres played in all five sets, but took a lesser role with seven kills on 25 attempts. Gabby Kepley led the team with 14 kills on 23 attempts, and Camille Gilmore had 12 kills on 35 attempts.

The Cougars (4-1) committed more errors than kills in the fifth set.

Next, Bothell is scheduled to begin conference play with a home match against Mount Si on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
