Girls soccer Bothell High won its first league game last Thursday night at home against Redmond High, 2-1. Katherine Lacy scored off a Mackenzie Basom assist at 44 minutes, and seven minutes later, it was Sydney Howard finding the net off a Mo Moschel pass.

Boys golf

Bothell golf standout John Pechan shot two consistent rounds of three-over-par 75 to finish tied for sixth at the Kingco 4A District championships last week at Snohomish Golf Club.

Pechan was the only Cougar to make the cut after Tuesday’s medalist play, during which he finished tied for fifth place.

Girls swimming

Bothell beat Lake Washington last Thursday at Juanita Pool, 108-78.

Cougars Katie Olsen, Katie Draper, Mariah Williamson and Tiffany Dang took the 400-meter free relay in 3:53.55, Olsen won the 500-meter freestyle in 5:32.38 and Williamson qualified for state in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:15.99.
