Cedar Park Christian’s boys basketballers smoked Bush last Tuesday night with a whopping 51-21 victory. The Eagles even shut out their opponent during the third quarter. Guard Tommy McCullough made off with 12 points.

On Cedar Park’s senior night, last Friday, the boys team geared up for a rough battle against University Prep. If the Eagles came out victorious, they would be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. The Eagles started off with the first points, and were tied after the first quarter. During the last three quarters, they could not withstand U-Prep’s shooting and lost, 46-34. McCullough led the team with 13 points.

• The Cedar Park girls were not so fortunate against Bush last Tuesday. Bush struck hard in the last two quarters, scoring 20 points to the Eagles’ one in a single quarter. Freshman Mattie Shelford kept shooting and had 17 points in the 43-28 defeat.

Cedar Park’s gals suffered another loss during senior night last Friday against University Prep. Shelford came out strong with 19 points. Senior Brittany Kragerud followed closely with 11 points. Kragerud noted, “Considering we were only a couple of points down, I was hoping the team would come out aggressively and fight to win. We could have made smarter passes and been more aggressive on offense.” Freshmen Tyanna Fouts and Brie Burroughs added five and four points, respectively, in the 49-39 loss.
