No one could stop Woodinville, which ran away with last weekend’s tournament scoring 254 team points, but Inglemoor (195) and Bothell (146) more than held their own, finishing second and fourth, respectively.

For Inglemoor, 152-pounder Daniel Nelson took home the title with four pins in four matches, as did Michael Lambert (189), who has two pins of under 10 seconds to his credit this season, and heavyweight Travis Bogard.

Making the finals but finishing runner up was Joey Speed at 140.

The Vikings will send 10 wrestlers to a tough South Puget Sound League Regionals tournament at Todd Beamer High.

For Bothell, Chris Ungerecht won the 103-pound championship, defeating Joah Fennell of Woodinville, and Brandon Reed defeated Inglemoor’s Speed for the 140-pound title after nearly being pinned the entire first round and losing 7-0.

“Chris Ungerecht was extremely impressive beating Joah Fennell in the finals,” said coach Matt Leonard. “Fennell beat him a week ago, 13-1, and Chris pulled the biggest upset of the tournament.”

The Cougars will advance eight to the SPSL Regionals.
