If not for the way the game ended, Saturday might not have been a good experience for Inglemoor High’s Grant Harris, who scored the game-winning run as the Vikings topped Bishop Blanchet 4-3 in a nonleague game on April 16 in Kenmoore.
Harris was hit by two pitches and walked twice, going 0-4 at the plate. He was caught stealing once, and left on second and third base — at least until the seventh inning.

Harris took his second pitch to the body with the Vikings (3-9 overall, 1-8) and Bishop Blanchet tied 3-3, and worked his way around the diamond as runners ahead of him were tagged out at home.
Then came his chance. Bishop Blanchet pitcher Simon Serwold put a ball in the dirt, and Harris pounced, scoring on the wild pitch with two outs to end the game.
Jake Watkins scored the only RBI of the game for Inglemoor, doubling on a bunt after the Vikings had already taken a 1-0 lead on a Bishop Blanchet error in the bottom of the second inning.
Next, the Vikings are scheduled to play Issaquah at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 18 in Kenmore.
