Inglemoor, Bothell win 4A Kingco softball playoff openers

Inglemoor High amassed nine hits, including two home runs, in the Vikings' 11-0 victory over Redmond High Tuesday in the opening round of the 4A Kingco playoffs at home.

Inglemoor High amassed nine hits, including two home runs, in the Vikings’ 11-0 victory over Redmond High Tuesday in the opening round of the 4A Kingco playoffs at home.

Taylor Peacocke hammered a homer, double and three RBIs; Erica Randell blasted a three-run homer; Lyndsey Porter smacked two doubles; Jenna Rutherford poked a two-run double; and Katie Walvatne laced a double.

Pitcher Rosie Matsumoto earned the win and gave up just one hit.

Over at Bothell, the Cougars defeated Skyline, 10-3, behind the hitting of Sammy Morris (two hits, RBI), Arista Honey (one hit, two RBIs) and Kendra Heyer (one hit, two RBIs).

Hurler Savannah Rose took the win for Bothell.
