Bothell loses close meet with Garfield | Prep girls tennis

The Bothell High School girls tennis team lost to Garfield on Tuesday in a tight 4-3 meet.

The Cougars earned two of their victories in doubles play. Madi Mackenzie and Chelsea Dinndorf of Bothell beat Linh Huynh and Clair Baker, 6-3, 7-5, while Cougars Jana Phipps and Baylee Bissendon defeated Halle Bills and Sarah Smith, 3-6, 7-5, 10-5.

In singles play, Naemi Herzog of Bothell beat Jessica Miakowitz in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
