Kenmore Sheriff’s Blotter: Man hits wife with pickup truck, gets out and attacks mother-in-law’s boyfriend

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The King County Sheriff’s Office blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kenmore.

Between July 4 and July 11, two thefts (including identity theft and fraud) occurred along with one traffic accident, four assaults, two DUIs, three cases of vandalism, one burglary, one case of indecent exposure, two fireworks confiscations, one overdose and two instances of trespassing.

July 4

A man was arrested on intoxicated driving charges after a witness saw him passed behind the wheel at an intersection in the 17000 block of 68th Avenue Northeast.

Someone was arrested on indecent exposure charges outside of the Northshore Fire Department.

Someone was arrested for a fireworks violation at the cement plant.

July 5

A man allegedly took mushrooms and other unknown pills which caused a violent reaction.

A possible assault was reported at a motel.

An assault was reported in the 6900 block of Northeast 158th Street.

Someone was cited for launching fireworks in the city.

July 6

A vehicle was stolen from the 6100 block of Northeast 175th Street.

After causing an accident, a driver walked away without exchanging information. He returned shortly after and a search warrant was obtained for his blood. Results are pending but alcohol was thought to have contributed to the accident.

A woman was arrested for a drug paraphernalia warrant.

July 7

Kenmore Elementary was vandalized after building walls were spray painted.

A vehicle was keyed in the 73rd Avenue Apartments parking lot.

A woman was assaulted by an unknown man who started yelling at her and then hit her hand and arm, knocking her coffee out of her hand on the corner of Northeast Bothell Way and 68th Avenue Northeast. His mother must be proud.

A driver was stopped for speeding and arrested on an intoxicated driving charge before he was released to a taxi cab.

July 8

A small engine was stolen off a trailer at Rhododendron Park.

A homeless man was trespassed from Kenmore Lanes.

A homeless man was trespassed from Northshore Pub.

July 9

A man broke a chair and left in the 15300 block of 72nd Avenue Northeast. Later in the same block, a man with the same name is arrested on a warrant after fleeing his house and being found inside a parked vehicle.

“Robert [redacted] booked into SCORE jail after driving his truck while intoxicated, crashing into his wife and pushing her through a fence, then getting out and assaulting his mother in laws boyfriend” before fleeing on foot in the 5800 block of Northeast 197th Street.

July 10

A car window was smashed with a piece of concrete at Seattle Water Sports.

July 11

A commercial burglary was reported at Seattle water Sports.
