Bothell’s volleyball season ends with loss to Garfield, Cedar Park headed to state | Volleyball roundup

The Cougars’ volleyball run came to a close on Thursday night at home against Garfield in the consolation bracket of the 4A Kingco Tournament, losing 3-1 in four very tight sets.

Scores were 25-20, 25-27, 25-23, 25-23.

For Bothell, Peircen Lundquist shined in her final game, notching a game-high 14 kills, with Lexie Bedell and Katie Arneson contributing 10.

Defensively, Hope Frazier led with 21 digs and Lundquist added 20, with setter Allie Hadley recording 39 assists.

With the loss, Bothell ended its season at 9-7 overall.

 

Cedar Park Christian sweeps BC, headed to state

With last night’s 3-0 sweep of the Bellevue Christian Vikings at home, the Eagles secured their seventh consecutive trip to the 1A state tournament.

Game scores were 25-15, 25-22 and 25-17.

With the win, Cedar Park has now won 22 straight volleyball sets dating back to Oct. 6, and will face King’s, on their home court, tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. for the right to play in the Tri-District championship match later that afternoon.
