The football team lost in 1A state tournament Round of 16 to No. 2-ranked Montesano, 27-14.

The Eagles fell behind 13-0 in the first quarter but rallied back, scoring two rushing touchdowns, and had a chance to take the lead in the third quarter, but were stifled by the Bulldogs for the remainder of the game.

The Eagles finished their season with a record of 8-3.

At the 1A volleyball state tournament at the Yakima SunDome, the No. 8-ranked Eagles fell to King’s in the tournament opener, 3-1, on set scores of 28-26, 14-25, 25-17, 25-20, before bouncing back to beat Kalama 3-1.

In the consolation semifinals, the Eagles got swept by hometown favorite La Salle of Yakima, including a third set that went to the wire, 25-14, 25-22, 27-25.

It was Cedar Park’s seventh-consecutive trip to the 1A state tournament, and first under new head coach Marni Dreschel.
