Inglemoor High School (IHS) senior Taylor Peacocke, who plays basketball and fastpitch for the Vikings, recently gave a verbal agreement to attend Sacramento State University next fall on a full-ride basketball scholarship.
Peacocke will be signing her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 a.m. at Inglemoor High School in front of principal Vicki Sherwood and athletic director Frank Naish.
Peacocke, a 5-foot-9 guard, was the second leading scorer in KingCo 4A last season at 17.9 points per game, and ranked second in rebounds (9.2), assists (4.0) and steals (3.7). She also earned first-team all-Kingco honors in both basketball and fastpitch last year.
“I knew immediately it was the perfect fit as soon as I got there. I loved the campus, coaches and the players,” she said in a statement after her verbal. “The up-tempo style Coach (Jamie) Craighead teaches suits the style of basketball that I like to play. I felt welcome and at home and instantly connected with all of the players.”
