Bothell deputy mayor Davina Duerr and councilmembers Liam Olsen and Tom Agnew spent the day in Olympia on March 25, meeting with legislators and advocating for the city’s priorities.
During a meeting with Rep. Jared Reed (D-Mill Creek), the delegation learned that the current House budget includes $400,000 to complete the Canyon Park subarea plan and $1.08 million for the bridge at Bothell Landing, via the Washington Wildlife and Recreation program.
The group also met with Transportation Committee Chair Rep. Jake Fey (D-Tacoma), along with Rep. Derek Stanford (D-Bothell) and Sen. Guy Palumbo (D-Maltby) from the 1st Legislative District, and Rep. Vandana Slatter (D-Bellevue) and Rep. Amy Walen (D-Kirkland) from the 48th Legislative District.
When Agnew was in Olympia on March 14, he met with Sen. Patty Kuderer (D- Bellevue) and Rep. Shelley Kloba, since she wasn’t in town on March 25.
