Following a successful showing at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association equestrian team event in Missoula, Mont., earlier this month, the Rocky Mountain College (Billings, Mont.) team — featuring Gillian Williams-Burden of Kenmore — heads to Bozeman, Mont., for another show Nov. 20-21.
“We’re all excited for this upcoming show in Bozeman. This is the biggest equestrian team we’ve ever had at Rocky Mountain College and it’s fantastic to have such strong riders. As a larger team, we have girls competing in almost every class, which gives us a stronger chance at winning high point team,” said Christi Brown, Rocky Mountain College equestrian studies instructor and team coach.
The team is hoping to have each member qualify for the regional show, which will take place Feb. 21 at Rocky Mountain College’s home at the Intermountain Equestrian Center in Billings, Mont. A good showing there could qualify members for the semi-national and national show later in 2011.
