Annual Petals in the River event in Bothell, May 29

The Bothell Historical Museum invites the public to its annual Petals in the River memorial event on May 29 at 1 p.m. at the bridge in the Park at Bothell Landing. Participants drop flower petals in the Sammamish River in memory of friends, family, veterans and those who have passed away.

A flotilla of colored petals on the water is a beautiful and moving sight to honor loved ones.

Participants are asked to bring their own flowers but there will be some on-hand.

Some petals provided by local florists and the Yakima Fruit Market.
