The new Kenmore restaurant, bar and music and comedy venue, Capps Club, will be opening on May 14 with live music by Sophie B. Hawkins.

Hawkins will be performing new songs which will debut on a fall album, a press release said. The show is part of opening week celebrations for the art and music venue.

Capps Club has been in the works since the longtime Italian restaurant Mia Roma abruptly closed last August after decades of business.

Capps Club owner Dawna Capps brought in the Food Network’s ‘Restaurant Impossible’ designer Lynn Kegan to revamp the building which sits at 7620 Bothell Way Northeast.

The club will offer an Italian-inspired menu, and Kenmore Assistant City Manager compared it to The Triple Door in Seattle, a historic theater offering food and musical acts.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
