The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of calls to the Bothell Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. Between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, there were seven traffic collisions, six criminal traffic incidents, no hit-and-runs, 10 vehicle prowls, 11 thefts, one incident involving illegal drugs, one incident of harassment, two incidents of fraud, one robbery, two assaults and 14 warrants served.
Oct. 24
Burglary: 6 p.m., 19400 block of 109th Ct. NE; A propane heater was stolen overnight out of a house under construction in the Parkhurst development.
Oct. 26
Burglary: 9:30 a.m., 8700 block of SR 522; An unknown suspect entered the garage of a 44-year-old man and stole several tools while he was on vacation.
Vehicle prowl: 10 a.m., 10900 block of Valley View Road; An unknown suspect broke into a unlocked van belonging to a 71-year-old man and stole several tools, valued at around $1,500.
DUI: 11:11 a.m., 15th Ave. SE and 228th St. SE; A 54-year-old Lynnwood man was pulled over for driving erratically and nearly colliding with a police officer’s vehicle. The man failed field sobriety tests, and a substance suspected to be meth was found in his possession. The man was arrested for DUI.
Burglary: 8 p.m., 2600 block of 228th St. SE; An 83-year-old man entered his storage garage to get hunting equipment when he noticed his Japanese-made slot machine and heavy duty dolly had been stolen.
Traffic: 10:57 p.m., 24000 block of Bothell-Everett Highway; A 48-year-old man was arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Oct. 27
Burglary: 2 p.m., 10300 block of NE 186th St.; A 43-year-old woman reported a break-in at her apartment complex where around $300 in quarters were stolen from a coin box in one of the commercial washers.
Identity theft: 12:00 p.m., 10000 block of NE 204th St.; The purse belonging to a 37-year-old woman was stolen at some point in the last several days. The woman’s credit and debit cards were used to make several purchases.
Oct. 29
DUI: 7:26 p.m., 17000 block of W Riverside Drive; An 80-year-old man was arrested for DUI after driving his truck into a homeowner’s yard and getting it stuck. The man provided a preliminary breath sample of .221.
