Vehicle theft

A 2006 Ford Econoline van was stolen from a parking lot in the 2200 block of 17th Avenue Southeast. The van was valued at $15,000. It had not been recovered as of last week.

Feb. 15

Theft from vehicle

Thieves made off with a radar detector valued at $50 after breaking into a car parked in a lot in the 22800 block of State Route 527 Southeast. The suspect broke a window to gain access to the victim’s vehicle.

Assault

Described by police as a male 17, the victim allegedly was punched and hit with a cane by the suspects, both male, ages 24 and 18. Both suspects were arrested and charged with third-degree assault after the reported incident, that police said took place on the street in the 18100 block of 108th Avenue Northeast. Reports said the three males were acquainted, but didn’t say what sparked the alleged confrontation. Reports did say the victim suffered lacerations to his head.

Feb. 13

Residential burglary

Two bikes, a backpack, a snowboard and various tools are missing from the detached garage behind a home on the 23900 block of 24th Drive Southeast. The items are valued at $1,700. Police said the garage was unlocked.

Feb. 18

Theft

An unknown number of tools were stolen from some condos under construction in the 14500 block of Juanita Drive Northeast. The value of the items was listed in reports only as over $250.

Feb. 16

Residential burglary

A neighbor called police after hearing a security alarm sounding in a home in the 7600 block of Northeast 155th Place. When police arrived, they were told by a nearby resident that two juveniles had been seen trying to break into the home. Police said the suspects pushed in a bathroom window to gain access, but nothing was reported stolen.
