Joyce Doerflein, 87, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 peacefully while under the care of her family in Bothell, Washington.
On September 4, 1931 Joyce was born to John and Sylvia Rian, the fifth of their eight children. The Rian children grew up in the Kenmore-Bothell area north of Seattle. Her childhood home was active, loving and rooted in a strong Christian belief that served as the foundation for her life. Joyce valued hospitality and enjoyed getting friends and relatives together at the Bothell family home.
She is survived by her four children, Janet and Earl Radford of Bothell, Diane and Wilf Wainhouse of Kirkland, David Doerflein of Bothell, and Phil and Ann Doerflein of Ketchum, Idaho. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
