No response from county and state legislators | Letter to the editor

On May 28 of this year I sent an email to my King County Council Rep. Rod Dembowski regarding taxes, ST3 and various other concerns we retired seniors face.

When, after eight weeks I had no reply I phoned his office, left a voice message and still have not heard from him. After all the bluster by both House and Senate legislatures once citizens received their car tab renewal notices for 2017, nothing has happened in Olympia.

So, on Oct. 28, after receiving my almost double from last year car tab renewal, I emailed my state legislatures, Guy Palumbo, Derek Stanford and Shelly Kloba and asked what was happening with this. Again, no response from any of them. Am I confusing these four with someone who cares?

All ST3 funds should be frozen and an independent auditor brought in for a through examination of the books going back to ST1. Mayors, council members and county execs. should make up the ST3 board. Especially Dow Constantine, who never met a tax he didn’t like.
