H. Robert McAllister

H. Robert McAllister passed away on April 18th after a life well lived. Born at home in Seattle, WA on December 5, 1924, to William B and Esther M McAllister. Bob graduated from Bothell High School in 1944 and served in Germany during WWII with the Army’s Company B 191st Tank Battalion. On August 20, 1949, Bob married Cecelia McKenzie and they built a life for themselves and their two children in Bothell. Bob spent 22 years as an auto mechanic. He then worked another 20 years as the Director of Transportation for the Northshore School District until his retirement in 1988. During that time he was member of the Masonic Ashler Lodge of Bothell, The Scottish Rite Temple in Seattle and the Shriner’s Nile Temple of Seattle. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, and they joined him on his many adventures: RVing, fishing, hunting, bowling and camping. He also made time for woodworking and taking expert care of the yard. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother: William M McAllister. He is survived by his wife Cecelia McAllister; son Robert (Terry) McAllister of Everett, WA and daughter Denise (Gary Broad of Yuma AZ; sister Lois (Wallace) Wickland of Bothell; 2 grandchildren: Stefanie Broad of Auburn, WA and Gavin Broad of Renton, WA: and 3 great-grandchildren Natalie Potter and Rachel Potter of Auburn, WA and Lyric Broad of Renton, WA, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
