Bothell High Earth Club runs successful recycling program

In conjunction with Bothell High being named a level-one King County Green School, the school’s Earth Club applied for grants to get recycling bins for the school and started collecting recycling on a regular basis. The school recycling rate rose to 44 percent, according to Bothell High science teacher and Earth Club adviser Amanda Rainwater. The club’s focus next year will be starting a composting program.
Club members are: Scott Jackson, Kevin Holmes, Lauren Fricks, Desiree Andersen, Ashlyn Shatos, Sanna Yaseen, Susan Ahn, Jessica Kim, president Melissa Ardon, Ariel Butz, Tayler Doffner, Riley Donohue and Kelli Roscoe.
