UW-Bothell’s Portin discusses school leadership and the role of a principal in school improvement

In October, the University of Washington, Bothell’s Dr. Bradley Portin was featured as an expert discussant on the Education Trust Leadership Webinar Series.
The webinar featured a discussion on how education leaders can ensure that every student gets the opportunity to achieve academic success. Additionally, the seminar featured both the practice of successful leaders and the national research perspective.
Of the series, Dr. Portin says, “School leadership is a critical element of improving the quality of schools and learning experiences for students.”
Dr. Portin is currently the director of the Education Program at UW-Bothell and is a leading researcher on school leadership who has helped document the role of principals in school improvement.
