Published 2:40 pm Thursday, July 18, 2013

The Beyer family will hold a “Free books” fundraiser to raise funds for Help Hope Live in Jessie Owen’s name.

Owen, a sixth grade teacher at Frank Love Elementary, was paralyzed last December when a snow-laden tree crashed onto her family SUV. Her parents were killed in the accident and sister and brother-in-law, critically injured.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 at 20902 33rd Drive S.E. in Bothell next to Canyon Creek Elementary.

Although all books are free, organizers ask for a cash, or check, donation to Help Hope Live in Jessie Owen’s name to help with her massive medical and rehabilitation expenses.
