Community picnic was a success

One of the great things about living and working around here is the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce (GBCC). It truly brings business and the community together. Case in point was a recent Sunday afternoon when the GBCC hosted the “Your Company Picnic” at Country Village. Open to the entire community, several businesses got together to provide a terrific event.

Thanks go to supporting sponsors Country Village, PSE, Olson Design and the Foundation House. Six “pasture putting” golf holes were provided by Fixit Once Repairs, the Northshore Senior Center, Olson Design, Seattle Home Appliance, Alaska USA and Evergreen Washelli. Other events were made possible by the YMCA (face painting), Chateau Retirement (egg relay), Banner Bank (three-legged race) and Tim Hart for an awe-inspiring magic show.

I appreciate the three good sports who took turns with me as dunkees in the charity dunk tank, including Bothell City Manager Bob Stowe, City Councilmember Del Spivey and Northshore Senior Center Director Gary Kingsbury. Thanks to all the businesses and organizations that made this possible and all who attended. It’s great to see events like this which help make Bothell a great place to live, work, play and do business.
